网购的烦恼 Too easy to buy

Xiǎo Gāo gāng gōngzuò de shíhou, jīhū měi tiān dōu zài wǎngshang mǎi dōngxi. Shǒujī shàng diǎn jǐ xià, dì èr tiān dōngxi jiù sòng dào le, yòu fāngbiàn yòu piányi.

小高刚工作的时候，几乎每天都在网上买东西。手机上点几下，第二天东西就送到了，又方便又便宜。

When Xiao Gao first started working, she bought things online almost every day. A few taps on her phone, and the next day it arrived. It was convenient and cheap.

Kěshì dào le yuè dǐ, tā chángcháng fāxiàn zìjǐ de qián búgòu yòng le. Tā zǐxì kàn le kàn zìjǐ mǎi guò de dōngxi, fēicháng chījīng: yí gè yuè huā le sān qiān duō kuài, hěn duō dōngxi qíshí yí cì yě méi yòng guò.

可是到了月底，她常常发现自己的钱不够用了。她仔细看了看自己买过的东西，非常吃惊：一个月花了三千多块，很多东西其实一次也没用过。

But at the end of each month she often found she’d run out of money. She took a careful look at what she’d bought and was shocked: she’d spent over three thousand yuan in a month, and much of it she had never used even once.

Cóng nà yǐhòu, tā gěi zìjǐ dìng le yí gè guīdìng: xiǎng mǎi de dōngxi xiān fàng jìn gòuwù chē, sān tiān yǐhòu zài juédìng. Tā fāxiàn, sān tiān yǐhòu, yí dà bàn de dōngxi tā dōu yǐjīng bù xiǎng yào le.

从那以后，她给自己定了一个规定：想买的东西先放进购物车，三天以后再决定。她发现，三天以后，一大半的东西她都已经不想要了。

After that, she set herself a rule: anything she wanted went into the cart first, and she’d decide three days later. She found that after three days, she no longer wanted most of them.

Xiànzài, Xiǎo Gāo měi gè yuè dōu néng cún xià yìxiē qián. Tā shuō, wǎnggòu méiyǒu wèntí, guānjiàn shì yào guǎn zhù zìjǐ.

现在，小高每个月都能存下一些钱。她说，网购没有问题，关键是要管住自己。

Now Xiao Gao manages to save some money every month. She says online shopping isn’t the problem in itself. The key is to keep yourself in check.
