一把伞 The umbrella

Nà tiān zǎoshang chūmén de shíhou, tiān hěn qíng, suǒyǐ Xiǎo Lǐ méiyǒu dài sǎn. Méi xiǎng dào xiàwǔ wǔ diǎn, wàimiàn tūrán xià qǐ le dà yǔ.

那天早上出门的时候，天很晴，所以小李没有带伞。没想到下午五点，外面突然下起了大雨。

When Xiao Li left home that morning the sky was clear, so she didn’t take an umbrella. Unexpectedly, at five in the afternoon, it suddenly started pouring.

Xiàbān yǐhòu, tā zhàn zài gōngsī ménkǒu, bù zhīdào zěnme huí jiā. Zhè shí, pángbiān yí wèi niánqīng rén zǒu guòlái, shuō:"wǒ jiā jiù zài fùjìn, zhè bǎ sǎn nǐ xiān yòng ba."

下班以后，她站在公司门口，不知道怎么回家。这时，旁边一位年轻人走过来，说：“我家就在附近，这把伞你先用吧。”

After work she stood at the office door, not knowing how to get home. Then a young man standing nearby came over and said, “I live just near here. Use this umbrella for now.”

Xiǎo Lǐ hěn xièxie tā, wèn tā zhù zài nǎr, xiǎng dì èr tiān bǎ sǎn hái gěi tā. Niánqīng rén xiào zhe shuō:"búyòng le, wǒ jiù zài nǐmen lóu xià de kāfēi diàn gōngzuò."

小李很谢谢他，问他住在哪儿，想第二天把伞还给他。年轻人笑着说：“不用了，我就在你们楼下的咖啡店工作。”

Xiao Li thanked him and asked where he lived, so she could return the umbrella the next day. He smiled and said, “No need. I work at the café downstairs from your office.”

Dì èr tiān, Xiǎo Lǐ dài zhe sǎn qù le nà jiā kāfēi diàn. Cóng nà yǐhòu, tā měi tiān zǎoshang dōu qù nàr hē yì bēi kāfēi, liǎng gè rén màn màn de biànchéng le hǎo péngyou.

第二天，小李带着伞去了那家咖啡店。从那以后，她每天早上都去那儿喝一杯咖啡，两个人慢慢地变成了好朋友。

The next day Xiao Li took the umbrella to the café. After that, she went there for a coffee every morning, and the two of them gradually became good friends.
