学汉语 Learning Chinese

Dàwèi shì Měiguó rén, qùnián jiǔ yuè lái Zhōngguó xuéxí Hànyǔ. Lái Zhōngguó de shíhou, tā zhī huì shuō"nǐhǎo"hé"xièxie".

大卫是美国人，去年九月来中国学习汉语。来中国的时候，他只会说“你好”和“谢谢”。

David is American. He came to China last September to study Chinese. When he arrived, he could only say “hello” and “thank you”.

Tā měi tiān shàngwǔ shàng sì gè xiǎoshí de kè, xiàwǔ zài fángjiān lǐ kàn shū. Wǎnshang tā xǐhuan hé Zhōngguó péngyou yìqǐ chī fàn, shuō Hànyǔ.

他每天上午上四个小时的课，下午在房间里看书。晚上他喜欢和中国朋友一起吃饭，说汉语。

Every morning he has four hours of classes, and in the afternoon he reads in his room. In the evening he likes to eat with Chinese friends and speak Chinese.

Xiànzài tā de Hànyǔ shuō de hěn hǎo, kěyǐ zìjǐ qù mǎi dōngxi, zuò chūzūchē, yě kěyǐ bāng xīn lái de tóngxué. Tā juéde xué Hànyǔ yǒu shíhou hěn lèi, dànshì hěn yǒuyìsi.

现在他的汉语说得很好，可以自己去买东西、坐出租车，也可以帮新来的同学。他觉得学汉语有时候很累，但是很有意思。

Now his spoken Chinese is very good. He can go shopping and take taxis on his own, and he can help new classmates. He finds learning Chinese tiring at times, but very interesting.
