More 把 sentences: 把…V一V, 把…V了
At HSK 4, 把 also takes a doubled verb (把房间打扫打扫), 了, or an amount (把书看了两遍).
Structure
- 把 + object + verb + 一 / 了 + verb
- 把 + object + verb + 了
- 把 + object + verb + amount
How it works
A doubled verb after 把 makes a request sound lighter: 你把房间打扫打扫.
Some verbs that mean getting rid of something can end with just 了: 把药吃了, 把垃圾扔了.
An amount or a length of time can follow the verb: 我把这本书看了两遍.

The verb after 把 needs something after it, here 了.
